Anna May Trala

Biography

Anna May Trala is the chief financial officer and a managing director at GTCR. In this capacity, she leads the finance, treasury, tax, portfolio valuation, investor reporting, and technology functions. She also serves as a director of Allspring Global Investments and Paya.

Anna May joined GTCR from Ernst and Young (EY), where she served as a partner in the Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice advising the private equity industry in the merger, acquisition, and divestiture process primarily in the healthcare, TMT, financial services, and growth business services sectors. During her time at EY, Anna May was involved in over 100 transactions. She also led the TAS human capital initiatives for the Midwest region. Outside of GTCR, Anna May is active in the community, serving on the boards of YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, America Needs You - IL Advisory Board, and the Chicago Foundation for Education.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Goldey Beacom College and is a certified public accountant.
