Biography

Eric Harper is a senior portfolio manager and co-head of the Closed-End Fund Strategies team at Allspring Global Investments. In this role, his responsibilities include managing the team that is responsible for developing the firm’s overall investment strategy as it pertains to closed-end funds. Eric joined Allspring from its predecessor firm, Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM). Before WFAM, he was with Tattersall Advisory Group, where he served in a similar role. Earlier, Eric served as a fixed income research analyst for Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley, Inc. He began his investment industry career in 1995. Eric earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Virginia. He has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and is a member of CFA Society Virginia and CFA Institute.
