Kate McKinley
Biography
Kate McKinley is the chief legal officer and corporate secretary at Allspring Global Investments. In this role, she is responsible for leading Allspring’s Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit functions and is a member of the firm’s Executive Leadership Team. Prior to her current role, Kate was with State Street Global Advisors, most recently serving as the firm's general counsel. Before serving as general counsel, Kate served as chief operating officer of the firm’s institutional client group, where she oversaw the transformation of the overall client experience and strategy execution, including oversight of the institutional client relationship management, business controls, global RFP, and sales enablement teams. Kate began her investment industry career as an associate in the investment management group at WilmerHale, focusing on investment companies, broker-dealers, and funds, before moving to Bank of America as assistant general counsel supporting Columbia Management's institutional and intermediary distribution channels and transfer agent. Kate earned a bachelor's degree in English and a juris doctor from Boston College. She is a member of the state bar of Massachusetts.
